Questions venues ask
What does it cost?
A bar and restaurant listing is £295 a year plus VAT, and a hotel and venue listing is £395 plus VAT. Both are annual and both include unlimited enquiries.
What is in the fee, and what costs extra?
The fee covers your ChristmasVenues listing for the whole season, your parties carried on chooseyourevent.co.uk, HUB access and account management. Listings on chooseyourvenue.com and chooseyourwedding.com are charged separately, as are email marketing campaigns to UK buyers. None of those is needed to get the Christmas listing working.
How does ChristmasVenues make its money?
Venues pay a flat annual membership to be listed. Planners use the site free, and they book and pay you directly rather than going through us, so the price you quote them is the price they pay.
What happens to an enquiry?
It goes to the inbox you nominate, with the planner’s name, their dates, their numbers and what they are after. You reply to them. Nothing sits between you and the booker.
We have several sites. Is there a group rate?
Yes. Multi-site operators pay a discounted rate per site, and it is worth a conversation rather than a form: the saving depends on how many properties and which package they sit on.
Can we list more than one space?
On the hotel and venue listing, yes, each space separately with its own capacity. The bar and restaurant listing covers one space.
How long does it take to go live?
Within two working days of you approving the listing. The slow part is usually getting the photographs and the menus, not the build.
What if we run several kinds of event?
They all get listed. A hotel running shared party nights, a festive lunch, Christmas Day and New Year appears under all four, which is four places to be found rather than one.
