Wreath Making Workshops in Bath

Wreath making has quietly become one of the best festive afternoons out in Bath. It's an easy sell: a couple of hours away from your inbox, a table piled with fresh spruce, eucalyptus, pine cones, dried orange slices and cinnamon, a florist showing you what to do with a reel of wire, and usually a mulled wine in your other hand.

You don't need to be any good at it, that's rather the point. Workshops are run on the assumption you've never made anything in your life, and everyone goes home with a wreath they're quietly pleased with. Everything's provided: the ring, the foliage, the decorations, the ribbon. You turn up, sit down and get stuck in. Most sessions include a festive drink and something to eat along the way.

They make a genuinely good team social, too. People actually talk to each other, which is more than you can say for most Christmas dos, and you all leave with something to show for it. Equally good for a group of friends, a family afternoon, or a couple of hours to yourself. Group sizes are usually 8 to 20, and plenty of Bath venues will run a private session just for your group, some will even come to you.

The season is short. Workshops run from mid-November to around the 20th of December, because the foliage has to be fresh, and weekend afternoons in early December go first. Browse the Bath workshops below and send a free enquiry, the venue will come straight back to you with dates and prices.
