Hartwell House is a beautifully restored 17th century stately home standing in ninety acres of landscaped parkland just 40 miles north-west of London.  The magnificent rooms are superbly furnished with antiques and fine paintings.  Its high ceilings, fine fabrics and dreamy views over the extensive landscape make it a truly idyllic setting.  Once the residence of Louis XVIII of France while in exile, the 90 acres of parkland offer romantic walks, with a Gothic church, bridge, lake, statues and follies to explore.

There are thirty exquisitely designed bedrooms and suites on three floors in the main house, each aimed at ensuring luxury, comfort and enjoyment during your stay.  In addition, there are ten suites and six bedrooms in Hartwell Court, the adjacent 18th century converted indoor riding school.  The Old Rectory at Hartwell adds a further accommodation gem, and has a superbly appointed master four poster suite with a sitting room and three other bedrooms with bathrooms, a drawing room, dining room and kitchen.  It is set in its own private 2 acres garden with outdoor swimming pool.
 
Hartwell is only one hour from central London by road and rail with London Heathrow and Luton Airports just 45 minutes away.  It also has a helicopter landing pad.  It is an ideal place for a top level special event, meeting , conference or  team building event.  The hotel also lends itself as a base for exploring Oxford, the Cotswolds, and the Chiltern Hills, and for shoppers there is the Bicester Designer Outlet Village.  

For Christmas parties the Hartwell rooms are ideal with the James Gibbs room with its own bar and dancefloor for reception and dancing and the adjacent James Wyatt room for dining up to 60 guests.  For a Christmas dinner or lunch without dancing or music the Doric dining room can seat up to 36 and the Octagon room up to 24.  Christmas private dining menus are priced at £30 for lunch and £40 for dinner to inlcude 3 courses, coffee, mince pie and VAT.
